Hi blog!
I am writing to you from the Wellesley Bus heading into Boston with a few friends to go get some work done at a pressed cafe and have some fun after. I actually went to pressed cafe for the first time on Thursday. This Thursday all of campus lost power halfway through the day so my friends and I headed into Boston to get our work done. Once we were done with our work we went to a bar called Tavern in the Square and it was so much fun!
The semester has been picking up and so has my motivation. Personally, it’s hard for me to focus and get my work done when there’s very little work to actually do. I am really enjoying my classes this semester which I realize now I haven’t talked about much. I am taking four classes: Finance Theory & Applications, Macroeconomics in Practice, Microeconomics of Pandemic, and Africans of the Diaspora. All of my classes have a final essay which is frankly scaring me because I haven’t had to write an essay for my course in so long. Most of the classes I’ve been taking recently have been predominately pset and exam-based. My courses this semester are a mix between essays and exams.
Next weekend, we have fall break which is a bit more like a long weekend than anything else, but I’m pumped. Due to COVID restrictions, we’re not able to leave the state of Massachusetts so a few friends and me are heading over to the cape. I’ll keep you posted on how the break goes!
Best,
Lynsey
