Settling in

Hi blog!

I’m all settled into campus despite the storage box filled with winter clothes stuck in the corner of my room! It will eventually be dealt with as soon as fall hits—till then, I’m making use of all of my summer clothes. The weather has been great thus far in Wellesley, albiet a bit hot.

I always find it a bit challenging to transition from summer mode to back to school, so this has made focusing on school work a bit difficult. I’m still trying to practice being kind and gracious with myself while doing well in my academics. It does take a bit more effort to concentrate and focus on academics as a senior. That being said, this week my friends and I went out to this bar for a break from the academics. Earlier today, I spoke at a finance summer internship panel for the Finance club on campus. It was so nice to see so many students at Wellesley interested in pursuing a career in finance. I was super excited to speak at the event because I had received a lot of mentorship from my upper class friends and know how daunting breaking into finance can be. After the panel, my friend and I went to grab dinner and drinks at this restaurant in the ville (the village surrounding Wellesley).

It’s been so nice to see so many friends around campus; yet also strange to not see all of my friends from the year above me on my way to class and around campus.

Best,

Lynsey
