You’ll never guess the moments that made this college student’s year! Number 6 is shocking. What are your thoughts? Comment below! 👇
The first-year plant giveaway. Every first-year gets to take home a little plant. Will yours make it through the year? Mine disintegrated over winter break. (This photo was taken for the Wellesley website — I was in the right place at the right time!)
My roommate and I loved spending afternoons hanging in hammocks in the triangle of trees outside Beebe. Passersby always called out to us. Some stopped to roll us over like burritos. Very little schoolwork got done. Here, Roula rolls a Cricket burrito.
Dark mornings at the KSC gave way to dark mornings on the Charles River.
Can’t forget our first novice crew race, the culmination of many weeks of confusion and hard work! So that’s what they were talking about when they said racing was fun.
Cricket and I biked to Ben & Jerry’s because they were giving away vegan ice cream. Fingers were frozen. Ice cream was consumed.
It’s a long story. This just about sums it up. I love Shafer!
Alison had never been to Trader Joe’s. Brynne and I knew she would love it. So we took the shuttle to Babson and walked (hiked?) the rest of the way. It was cold. But it was Trader Joe’s, so it was worth it.
We got matched with our crew team Bigs a little earlier this year than normal, which worked out well, given what happened a few weeks later. Here’s our family photo.
There were also, of course, incredible moments that didn’t yield photos. Thanks for a great first year, Wellesley. I’ve loved sharing my life with you all, and I hope to be back and blogging in the fall.
