Good Times

I’ll start this post by congratulating those of you who applied to Wellesley under the Early Evaluation decision plan. Whether you were given a likely, possible or unlikely decision earlier this week, I admire you for taking the courage and time to fill out an application to a highly selective college like Wellesley.

I encourage students who received a ‘possible’ decision to send us updates with regard to your grades, awards and other material that could make a difference in the minds of admissions counselors. I would advise those of you who were given an ‘unlikely’ decision to send the same material to the other colleges you applied to.

Now, here’s a recap of my ‘Good Times’ week:

– Started a countdown to Spring Break – it kicks off on Friday, March 15 after classes so at 12:20pm for moi. Good Times!

– The search for a summer internship has led me to two options that I’m very very excited about. I’m also waiting to hear from the internship I applied to in early February and I submitted a cover letter an hour ago. Good Times!

– Gave a tour to a family from California who asked me to be in a picture for their scrapbook (a first, and probably my fave memory as a tour guide). Good Times!

– Watched Silver Linings Playbook. Somewhere in Cali, Jennifer Lawrence fell on the stairs and proceeded to accept her Oscar for Best Actress around the same time. #LikeABoss and Good Times! hehe

– Attended a lecture on La Belle Epoque at the French House last Thursday where I ate tasty French treats (and American fruits I guess haha). Good Times!

– Registered then proceeded to (almost but not really) beg TZE members and my sister to donate to TZE’s Relay for Life team. I’m passionate about this cause so I’ve made it a personal mission to become She Who Chases Dolla Dolla Billz Billz To Fight Cancer. Verdict: our team has collected over $600 so far so Good Times!

– Tried to stay focused on my studies even though I’m actually focused on the weekend and particularly TZE’s annual White Party (think of the rapper formerly known as Puff Daddy’s summer parties in NY and St. Tropez where everyone wears white) this Friday!! I’m also looking forward to catching up on sleep/ going back to a normal sleep pattern. This weekend will be Good Times!

– I got the opportunity to interview some students who are being considered for the MasterCard Foundation Scholarship at Wellesley. I’m excited to find out who will be admitted later this month. Good Times!

– Finally, and perhaps the most exciting of them all, I got to speak to several family members and friends I hadn’t spoken to. Goodest Time of them all! 🙂

What are you up to? I enjoy hearing from prospective students and I would like to read some of your thoughts and/or comments.

Also keep in mind…

We’re always excited to get visitors so stop by and take a tour of our beautiful campus if you ever find yourself in New England

Spring Open Campus, an event for admitted students, will be between April 21 – April 23. (I used green because the Class of 2017 will be a green class)

Junior Open Campus, an event for high school juniors, will be on April 27
(I used purple because the Class of 2018 -omd I’m so old!!- will be a purple class)
