I’m going to NYC this weekend and I am so excited! I have not been to New York City in a long time, so I am really looking forward to it. I will be visiting my best friend from high school who is currently a sophomore at Barnard. On the list of things to do is going to The Bagel Store in Brooklyn (I have been following their rainbow bagels for years now!), but I plan to let Maria decide what to do. She is basically a local now, anyway, so I will get a different experience than usual. I am sad that I will have to miss Marathon Monday, but it just means I will have to get the full experience on my senior year. I am taking a bus from Boston to NYC on Friday afternoon, then a bus back late on Monday. I promise to post loads of pictures.
Before leaving Wellesley, however, I have a lot to do. I just recently realized how little time there is left on the semester. Although I knew it was coming up and felt like I was prepared for it, looking at a calendar made me realize how much I have not done. Not everything is up to me; for instance, I am waiting to hear back from my study abroad program to buy my tickets for the summer. There are some things I probably should have done by now, however, such as finished the CSS applications and all other financial aid requirements. My to do list for this week is done and waiting to be completed. I have a long busy week ahead of me.
Classes have been going well. The work for them is never-ending, but mostly enjoyable. Like always, I find myself enjoying discussion-based classes about a million times more than lectures (that’s actually one of the reasons I chose Wellesley). I have been clinging to my to-do lists like saran wrap so as not to forget anything. I have pushed a few things off when I get too busy, but I am adamant that I must finish everything this week. We will see how that goes.
It was difficult to get back in track after Spring Break. To this day I am struggling to fit exercise back into my routine. I know I just need to fit it in until it becomes second nature again, but even the one week I missed messed everything up. I have still been working out, but only about three times a week instead of six. I am going to try really hard to move up to at least four this week. I also really want to improve my sleeping schedule, but I am usually unsuccessful in that endeavor so I am not sure how that will go.
