Goodbye, 2019. You’ve been a good one.

I’ve been putting off writing this post for a while. The last few weeks of term have been a whirlwind of good memories: lots of late night conversations, goodbye hugs, thank you cards, and holiday festivities. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to perfectly encapsulate my term studying abroad at Pembroke College, Cambridge, but I’m thankful for every moment. My last week in Cambridge, I was in the midst of studying for my philosophy exam and finishing up my psycholinguistics dissertation. Both are done now, and it feels so good. Before leaving, my friend and I walked around Pembroke for the final time to say goodbye, and took it all in. It’s crazy how within the timespan of a few short months, I now consider Pembroke my home.

I’m still trying to wrap my mind around my entire term, and even this year. 2019 went by way too quickly, and I’m going to take time during winter break to reflect and process all that has happened. Good things, bad things, everything. In 2019, I found clarity in the future, and as 2020 approaches, I feel ready and refreshed to take on my remaining time at Wellesley.

For now, I’ll be traveling with my family for the holidays (we’ll be spending Christmas in Italy!), before heading home to San Diego. 2019 has really been one for the books. Thank you for reading along every week, and following my adventures. I’ll see you in 2020, back at Wellesley.

Until then,

Shreya
