I declared! And other news…

Hello hello!

Today, I’m writing to you as an official Cognitive and Linguistic Sciences major!

I declared my major last Thursday night. Although the process was quite simple, I skyped with my family in Clapp library and my friend was there the entire time, so the moment was quite memorable! The deadline to declare a major is December 1st of sophomore year if you want to study abroad junior year, and March 1st for everyone else. I am a bit early to the game, but I was so excited, I went ahead and did it anyway!

This past Saturday, my friend and I went to Boston/the Back Bay area. We spent a wonderful day eating bagels, walking around the Boston Public Garden, Boston Commons, and enjoying the fall weather by the Charles River Esplanade. Weekend excursions like these make me grateful for the amazing city of Boston and brisk autumn weather. It was a great break to clear our heads, and refocus for the last half of the semester. I’ve attached some pictures below (just look at that blue sky!).

Next week will be exciting as well – I’m presenting at the Tanner Conference this year… more on that next time!

Until then,

Shreya

Also, there is just this one gorgeous tree outside my dorm that is a brilliant red color right now. It’s too hard to not share this picture! And of course, the wonderful sky at Monday night outside Severance Hall. It just takes my breath away.
