Meaning of Life and The End of Term 3

Today marks the first day of Term 3 finals. For my philosophy seminar, our final project was to write and present a commencement speech based on the Meaning of Life and our semester readings. I presented my speech last night in a small group over Zoom and it went well! This officially means I’m 75% done with my senior year at Wellesley. Craziness!

Not much happened this past week. The daffodils are blooming! I can’t wait for the saucer magnolia trees around campus to bloom – I walked by the one near Pom and Caz the other day, and it’s coming…I can feel it!

Everyone has been quite busy wrapping up their end of term 3. Last Friday, Amelia and I hung out in the Lake House common room and decided to test our origami skills, since there were some origami papers lying around. Honestly, it was quite successful. We eventually made a stop motion video of our two origami cranes – a masterpiece, if I say so myself. That evening, the blockmates and I watched more Attack on Titan (my gosh – season 3. No words)! Katie and I played tennis on Saturday, and on Sunday, I spent most of the rainy afternoon doing my final set of philosophy readings (it was on a grim topic – death and the afterlife). I also went for an evening stroll around campus, and wow. It hit different knowing that I only have a few short months left here.

I think I’m going through the Five Stages of Grief regarding graduation, and I’m still at the first phrase: denial. Next week is our spring break, and I’ve heard that the 2021 Class Council has some exciting events planned! I’m looking forward to it. My schedule for break next week is already filling up with fun activities: roller skating, ping pong playing, anime watching, hiking, ice cream eating, and sunbathing near the Lake is what I have planned so far. Stay tuned!

Happy Friday,

Also, it was such a pleasant surprise to receive this care package in front of my door a few days ago!
