Hello hello,
Here’s to the last hellos of sophomore year.
Honestly, I’ve been putting this post off for a while now. Self reflection is hard, and dedicating an entire blog post to sum up this wild year is even harder.
This year has been full of ups and downs and twists and turns. But coming out of it, I’ve realized what I’m capable of, passionate about, and excited for. I started this semester unsure, but since then, I’ve constantly been surprising myself, and eventually learning my strengths.
I know I’m going to look back upon this time, and be grateful for all I’ve learned and discovered about myself: I might actually like coffee? Strong tea is always preferred. Art history is important to me and something I never want to stop learning about, ever. Philosophy is another way of looking at the world and taking notice of the ordinary, like cognition…and I actually really like it?! Indian cinema is surprisingly a wonderful way to connect with people: friends, professors, and my extended family in India. Rejection is okay, but it still can and will hurt. Not everything is going to turn out perfect, so cherish the moments that seem like they are.
And now, summer 2019 (and new adventures!) await. I might blog intermittently during the summer, to keep you all updated on my adventures in Boston (there’s nothing like summer in the city…) But you can definitely count on me coming back in September – for the start of my experience studying abroad across the pond!
Until then, I wish everyone a great end to the year. Thank you for reading and coming along for the ride.
Onwards,
Shreya
