This Wednesday marks two years since I applied to Wellesley. It was a scary, wonderful, rewarding decision and it went something like this:
I visited Wellesley on a whim the summer before my senior year. At first, I wasn’t sure whether or not it was the place for me. I did some research, talked with current students and alums and made a pros and cons list.
After a few weeks of deliberation, I decided to take the dive. I decided to trust my gut and go with the place that felt like home: Wellesley.
The only problem was that the November first deadline started to creep up on me…
So I hunkered down and wrote my essays with a new found furry and suddenly I found myself hitting the submit button on the common app website.
The next months were definitely stressful as I waited to see if I had been accepted to the place that I kept dreaming about. There were definitely moments of doubt where I wasn’t sure if I was qualified or would get in. Everyone around me, however, stayed positive and believed in me.
Finally, after two looonnnggg agonizing months, I heard back. I had been accepted!!
(actually footage of me on acceptance night)
Wellesley has been my home for the last year and I couldn’t be happier. So, if you are thinking about applying ED, either to Wellesley or somewhere else (but hopefully Wellesley because, like, come on) ask your self:
And, if so…
