Dorm Sweet Dorm

For this week’s post, I wanted to give you an ~inside look~ into my dorm room. I live on the west side of campus
(and across from the lake) in the Tower Court complex with my best friend, Emily!

Me & Emily at an admission’s photo shoot last semester.

We have been working since the beginning of the school year to make our room a cozy and inviting space to come home to, but also somewhere where our friends want to hang out. I often walk in and find five or six people sitting on our beds, chairs and window seat chatting; it’s a great way to be greeted after a long day. Both Emily and I have an obsession with pillows so we’ve littered our window seat with them and it’s a cozy place to do read or watch a movie– it is actually where I’m writing this post from! It also has a fantastic view of the Galen Stone Tower.

One of my favorite spots in our room is my desk. It’s filled with knick-knacks that I have accumulated over the years as well as notebooks and all of my school day necessities.  I’ve worked the most on my desk/study area because I want (and also need) it to be a place that inspires me and reminds me of why I am at Wellesley and all of the wonderful people that surround me. And so far, I’m happy with it!

What my desk setup looks like on a good/clean day!

While I’ve worked the hardest on creating a functioning workspace, nothing beats crawling into bed at the end of the day. I’m not super into bright colors so I stuck with neutral bedding but added touches of home to spruce it up. The lemon slice is from a gift store my aunts owned back home and my bed is surrounded by fairy lights and polaroids of my friends from both back home and Wellesley.

Overall, I really do think of Wellesley as imy home away from home and being able to decorate it to feel as such has been so much fun; especially because I have been able to do so with my best friend turned roomie!

See you next week!
