Hi! My name is Caroline and I am sophomore from Upstate New York (think: Canada). While I haven’t officially declared my major yet, I’m planning on studying Political Science with a focus in comparative politics. Outside of classes, I am a part of the Honor Code Council and of The Agora Society, Wellesley’s political society. I work as a student assistant with the Office of Admission and at b/spoke, a spin studio located in Downtown Wellesley. I started working for Admissions this summer as a summer assistant with one of my best friends Lilly.
We had so much fun giving tours and talking to prospective students, or prospies, that we both decided to stay on as student assistants. In addition to all of the things I was doing over the summer, I will also be blogging here every Monday and I could not be more excited!
Like most of my peers, my favorite part of my Wellesley experience thus far has been the relationships I have formed with the people around me. My friends and I constantly have really tough, exciting conversations and the bonds that I have formed with my professors have made me more passionate and dedicated to the things I am learning about in the classroom.
While I no longer have the first year jitters, there are still a lot of things that I want to check off my Wellesley Bucket List. My current list includes: going for a full moon paddle on Lake Waban, going stepsinging with my classmates and eating in all of the dining halls in one day. I hope to use this blog to not only allow you to get a better sense of what life is like at Wellesley but also so you can come along with me as I experience all that Wellesley has to offer.
Before I go I will leave you with a brief list of my favorite things:
- The tater tots in the Lulu dining hall
- Chopped
- Runs around Lake Waban
- Naps
- Beyonce
Until next time,
Caroline
