Hello Blog, We’re having an especially short week here at Wellesley College because we’re coming off of Fall Break (a four day weekend). I had a pretty chill Fall Break myself, but I thought I’d do a recap here. On Friday, I went to the Boston Ballet with my friend (and former roommate) Anabelle. For her birthday, I got us…

First-year orientation through the eyes of a sophomore!
I remember my New Students Orientation last year and how excited I was for it. I was excited to move in, to meet my neighbors, classmates, people in general, and to start my college experience. I had an incredible time throughout that week last year, so I knew that I wanted to be a part of it again this year,…
A Day in My Life
Hello Blog, Happy T-minus 2 days to Fall Break! I received an email from a prospective student last week asking about what a typical day in my life looks like, so I thought I’d make a whole blog post about it (with some additional details, of course). Things have been pretty busy, so strap in! I usually wake up about…
Sophomore Fall
This week, I’m updating on where I am academically as a Wellesley sophomore. Declaring your major is the major part (see what I did there) of sophomore year at Wellesley! At Wellesley, you can major, double major, or major and minor. If you plan to study abroad in your junior year, then as a sophomore you’d have to declare your…
My Fall Traditions :)
Hello Blog! Yesterday was one of my favorite traditions at Wellesley – Lake Day! On one day in the fall semester, while the weather is still pretty warm, the college president will send out a surprise email saying that it is simply too beautiful outside and all classes are canceled. The Schneider Board of Governors (SBOG), our student-run campus-wise activities…
A Weekend in Boston
One thing about me is that while I love exploring, I easily get caught up in work and don’t go into Boston as often as you might think. From time to time though, I am hit with the need to go out there and just walk around the city. That is exactly what I did this past weekend. Boston in…
My Favorite Wellesley Tradition
One of my favorite Wellesley traditions is…. Flower Sunday! If you don’t know, Flower Sunday is the oldest tradition here at Wellesley. Once a year on a Sunday in September, first-year students (littles) are paired with upperclassmen students (bigs); bigs give flower bouquets to littles, attend a multifaith ceremony at Houghton Chapel, and bond over brunch. Everyone dresses up nicely…

Traveling around Senegal
This week I thought I would take the opportunity to let you know about a little bit about my traveling around the country. As part of our study abroad, we get to take trips as a group. This allows us to go to awesome places that maybe we wouldn’t have been able to on our own. I’ve also had the…
Application Season, the Holiday that Connects Us All
So, yes, we are still talking about mermaids in psych. We’ve reached that point in the semester when the beginning-of-the-year chaos starts settling down and my weeks slip into a routine. I’ve gotten really involved in a few clubs and dropped a few others. I know the names of the other students in my classes (at least most of them?).…
