If you got money…and you know it…

I am sure that you have been told that the life of a college
student is a broke one. That is absolutely true. However, I have yet to be in
the red. Why? I have a part time job.

I work ten hours a week at the campus center, doing typical
restaurant-type stuff, like washing dishes and keeping the tables clean. It isn’t
thrilling, but the people are nice and my check is always on time! 😉

Rocking my work hat.

A lot of my friends have work study jobs. In fact, this blog
is a work study job for me. I’d like to have more work study hours, but the
recession has hit Wellesley along with everywhere else, and it seems that there
are more students – especially first years – than jobs. Several of my friends have
been successful though, and they have nice clerical jobs around campus. Others
are tutors, and still others have jobs off-campus babysitting or working at
stores in Wellesley.

So until money trees are added as a part of the landscaping
here, our pockets won’t be completely empty.
