Last full week of classes

Hello dear readers!

Yes, it is bittersweet, but it is also a fact that this week is the last full week of classes. Of course, I have a ton of things to do, but I still wanted to get the chance to stop and reflect on that fact. I will miss my classes, some parts of my routine, and most importantly – my friends, but I am really excited to go back home for the break.

I have been really busy the past week, so I haven’t done a ton of exciting things. One of my friends had her birthday last week, so with some other friends, we threw her a surprise birthday party. We decorated her room, got food, and hid in the dark, waiting for her to come in (it sounds sketchy, but I promise you, we had the best intentions). I think we really managed to surprise her, especially since the party was during the weekend, several days after her actual birthday.

I also went to Vespers. Vespers is a big event held by the Multifaith Center and the different singing groups there in the Chapel on campus – the choir and the chamber singers. I went because I have some friends in the choir, and I wanted to support them. I honestly didn’t expect there to be so many people – it wasn’t just students, but there were also a lot of people from the town of Wellesley. I also didn’t know that it would be so Christian-spirited, but I really liked the songs and the way they sounded.

On Saturday I also went to a Slater event hosted by the European representatives in Slater. They had made some delicious cookies, crepes, and punch. I met a lot of people, which was cool. I think the theme of the event was Christmas Markets, so they were trying to imitate things you would usually find if you went to these markets in Germany.

That’s it from me for this week. Exams are getting closer and closer, which sounds scary, but I’m not particularly worried about them. Stay safe everyone!
