Hi everyone!
I thought it might be a good time of the semester to do a day-in-the-life, and tell you specifically, what a typical Tuesday looks like for me. I woke up a little earlier than usual, around 8 am, because I had to do some reading for my 9:55 am Greek and Roman mythology class. We have recently been talking about how physical artefacts tell us a lot about the lives and beliefs of ancient civilizations. That’s why our class, instead of our usual room in Founders Hall, was in the Davis Museum, which is the amazing museum we have on campus. We had a lecture from Dr. Berlin, one of the staff members, on some of the Ancient Greek vases in their Ancient Civilizations collections. Honestly, it was really cool to see physical examples of the things we had previously discussed in class.

After this, I headed to Bates to grab lunch with some friends. They had berries! And that is very exciting for Wellesley students, I promise you; we love berries around here. They also had their new rice bowl station, which was really good. I grabbed a coffee, and at 12:35 pm I headed to the Science Center for my physics lab.

Berries!
My professor is at a conference this week, so we worked on our labs alone this week. Honestly, this particular lab has been rather challenging, and we had to stay after class to finish the data taking. We have been building small alpha particle detectors from scratch, and now we are testing how our signal depends on the amount of air we allow in the vacuum chamber our detector is in.

At 5:20 pm I left the lab and headed to Slater House for our weekly e-board meeting. We had a big-little event last weekend, so we reflected on that and discussed some events we are going to put on in the next month. I also lead our discussion on the progress we have made with the Culture Show we are organizing in November. Exciting stuff!
After this meeting, I went to Lulu for dinner with friends. They had a great burrito bar, and my favorite soup (lemon chicken rice soup), so I was pretty happy! We talked for a while and then headed to the KSC (our sports center) since one of my friends had a shift at the front desk, and the rest of us were just doing homework in the study spaces around. We left at around 11 pm and headed back to our rooms. Some of my friends live on the same floor as me in Stone-Davis, so we talked for a bit in my room before we all headed to bed around midnight.
So, yeah, that was my day on Tuesday. See you again next week!
