Best Study Spots

Hey Blog and happy almost-Thanksgiving break! Today, I am listing some of my favorite study spots on Wellesley’s campus. I did a post two years ago on my favorite places, so I am updating that list with two new additions! Wellesley’s main library, Clapp Library, is closed for renovation until next summer, so these are the alternatives I have found.

Houghton Chapel Multifaith Center
Underneath Wellesley’s Houghton Chapel is the Multifaith Center. The Multifaith Center has prayer rooms and gathering spaces where the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life chaplains and religious campus organizations host events. The center also has a comfortable study room with a conference table. The study room is quiet, peaceful, and a great place to focus. I really enjoy studying for tests here!

Collins Cafe

Collins Cafe is a cute little cafe near the Academic Quad. At Collins, you can use flex dollars, which is money each student receives at the semester’s start to use at campus cafes and convenience stores. At Collins, they have yummy sandwiches and coffees. They also keep the cafe doors open after they stop serving food in the afternoon. So, I like coming here then to sit in the booths and get work done. I recently came here to lock in and finish writing a paper.

Whitin Observatory

Whitin Observatory is Wellesley’s astronomical observatory. I like to work in the study room in the observatory, which has a large conference table and some super cool old astronomy books. Overall, I love the antique style in the observatory’s study room. I actually only discovered this spot last semester and really like coming here to do homework.

As someone who has trouble focusing when I try to work in my dorm room, I really appreciate these study spots. I think Wellesley has many little spots that I am still discovering even as a junior!

Thank you for reading!
