Hi Blog Readers, welcome to a new school year! My name is Tenzin, and I am a senior at Wellesley 😱. I have been blogging since my first semester here three years ago and cannot believe how quickly it has all gone by. As people say, the days are long but the years are short!
To further introduce myself, I am from Illinois and majoring in economics and minoring in statistics. On campus, I work this blogging job, as a research assistant for the Wellesley Centers for Women, and as a peer academic mentor for my dorm—see my post from last year about how I got these jobs, and I will dedicate future posts to this topic too. As for student organizations, I am involved with Art History Club and the campus radio station WZLY—see my post from last year to learn more about these!
In my free time, I enjoy swimming, reading books, doing geography trivia, and watching reality TV (Dancing With the Stars, Big Brother, and Love Island Games are all airing right now, so I am pretty swamped 😓). I am trying to get into playing online chess, so wish me luck on that.
This year, I am living on the west side of campus in the Quint. I lived in the Quint my freshman year in Cazenove Hall and then spent sophomore and junior year living on the east side in Freeman Hall. I am definitely happy to be back on the west side and have a change in scenery.
I am so excited to be back writing for this blog and am looking forward to sharing my Wellesley moments and answering FAQs this year. I will dedicate my next posts to recapping my summer and explaining what classes I am taking. Thank you for reading!
