Hello Blog,
Let’s cut right to the chase. I had a meal prepared by Wellesley Fresh (the dining hall service) this week that has rocked my world. If you read my blogs from 2 years ago, though I doubt many current readers have, you will know that I am a big fan of the chicken tinga in the dining hall. I can only describe this as a make your own burrito bowl station that appears some weeks in the “Nook” in the dining hall closest to where I live (Lulu). They have recently introduced a new “Nook” meal called a lemongrass chicken (or tofu) bowl, which you can see in the photo below. It is genuinely delicious, and I have had it three times this week already. I also had an incredible sandwich from the Collins Cafe because Mark (one of the men who works there) has recently been promoting roasted red peppers. All in all, it has been a very successful food week for me.

Now that we’ve got that important bit out of the way… it is officially after spring break, so we’re in the home stretch of the semester. My chemistry professor recently told us that we have 6 weeks left of the semester, and that was truly alarming. Because not only does that mean that graduation is right around the corner, but that also means theses are due and my senior recital is less than a month away. I had a wonderful and relaxing spring break (went to CA and saw some friends from the summer, went on vacation for a few days with my friends from Wellesley, and vegged at home for a weekend). Now, I am just working on getting my thesis done (I got a revised draft with references done before spring break) and practicing cello.
Something I’ve been really enjoying this semester that I’m not sure I’ve talked about yet is my swimming class for PE. Wellesley has a PE requirement (essentially you take 2 semesters of PE), and I’ve already fulfilled those, so I’m just taking this class for fun. I haven’t swam “seriously” (if you can even call it that) since middle/high school, but I have recently re-discovered how much I love it! I’ve been loving swimming in the morning 2x a week (in the recently renovated pool) so much so that I’m going to join an adult swim team when I graduate. Things like that make me excited to graduate because it’s never too late to pick up a new hobby!
Until next time,
