Hello all!
My name is Brielle Collins (please call me Bri!). Welcome to my first blog post of many—I can’t wait to share with you my day-to-day experiences and extensive Wellesley knowledge 🙂

My friends and I last semester!

Me!!
For a little introduction to who you’ll be reading about: I’m a rising junior, an American studies major, and from Falls Church, VA—just 15 minutes out of DC. I was raised across five countries—Botswana, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, El Salvador, and the U.S. (Hawai’i and Virginia)—moving every few years. This is my first summer at Wellesley, where I am working as an intern for the Office of Admission. During the academic year, I also work for the Glass Garage, a makerspace on campus, as a student tech, leading hands-on workshops in soldering, clay making, sewing, cricut designing, and 3D printing. I make a lot of my own jewelry with this job, and recently got into shrinky dinks (I’ve made a million keychains!!!). I also serve as social and publicity chair of the Pacific Islander Association and social chair of Society Zeta Alpha, Wellesley’s literature society (the little white house on Tupelo Lane).

I’m excited for you to read about my summer here! I’m halfway through Wellesley, and even though I’ve got two years left to go, I feel so close to the end. Very emotional. Follow me along as I write about my past adventures on and off campus and my present commuter rail outings and lake visits. I’ll be going to a lot of museums and eating a lot of good food in the next few months (Chinatown will be seeing me weekly)! Yesterday I went to Boston Common and ate some really good pho at Pho Pasteur, and today I registered for my fall 2025 classes! Eventful week.

I hope my blog posts can serve as inspiration to you all and make you feel like Wellesley can be home for you (just as it has become home for me).
Until next time,
Bri❤️
