Last few days before Spring Break

Helloooo everyone!

It’s finally the last week before Spring Break. Life is very busy, but to be honest, I am also not feeling too stressed out. I had a really great weekend, which I think helped me stock up on some good energy to keep me motivated for the last few class days.

The turkeys and geese are back, now that the weather is not freezing!

First, on Friday we had our bimonthly bread and cheese night with some of my friends, where we basically buy some good food (yes, fresh bread and cheese are the main ingredients), sit on the floor of their room, and talk for a few hours. It’s a great tradition, and I absolutely recommend making those types of silly traditions to keep in touch with friends and escape the everyday routine.

(We can now skip Saturday because it’s no fun talking about how I was in the Science Center studying from 9 am to 9 pm. Don’t worry that that will have to be you though, I just prefer studying in one prolonged sitting, rather than small chunks at a time, everyone has different styles of doing work in that regard.)

On Sunday, we celebrated my friend’s birthday. We threw her a chill party in my room: we were making collages, and we had an improvised ramen bar (with ramen from the Emporium—the on-campus store—and veggies and all the other necessary stuff from the dining halls). It was really fun and relaxing—exactly what we all needed.

An update on my academic life—I have finally finished my PHYS210 project. We had a lot of freedom to make anything we wanted in that class that included any of the electrical components we had used throughout the semester (or we could experiment with new ones), and that had some sort of input that resulted in some output. We are presenting our projects on Friday morning. Knowing that, I wanted to make mine more interactive. So, I made a pitch-matching game where you need to match a note that the device plays by moving your hand around a sensor. I had a lot of fun doing that project; honestly, everyone in my class was super hyped and creative.

That’s it from me for the week. See you after Spring Break!
