Senior Spring

Hi all,

It’s officially senior spring, and things feel… weird.

There’s this strange mix of calm and chaos. On one hand, classes are lighter, the weather’s better, and everyone’s just a little more relaxed. On the other hand, there’s that constant background noise of “what’s next?”—whether that’s jobs, grad school, or figuring it out as we go.

Lately, it’s been a season of small “lasts.” Last class registration, last time stressing over midterms (kind of), last-minute decisions about what to do on a Friday night. Some people are super nostalgic, others are just trying to get through the semester—but most of us are somewhere in between. It’s less about big emotional moments and more about noticing how things are shifting.

One of the bigger moments for me was Senior Day for lacrosse. Standing on the field with my teammates, getting those flowers, hearing our names called—it hit harder than I thought it would. Not because of the ceremony itself, but because it marked the end of something that’s been part of my life here since the beginning. It was weirdly grounding. Like, yeah, this chapter really is wrapping up.

Outside of all that, I’ve been soaking up Wellesley’s nature more than ever. Walks around the lake, going on a run on Central Street, eating lunch on the patio of Lulu are all things I definitely took for granted in earlier semesters. It’s kind of wild how peaceful campus feels when the sun’s out and everyone’s just… existing. No rush, no agenda. Especially with all the rain we’ve been having, this nice weather feels even better.

If anything, senior spring feels like a soft landing. A time to slow down, take stock of everything, and just enjoy where we are before whatever comes next. No big revelations yet, but I’ll take the sunshine, the quiet moments, and the occasional reminder that, yeah, we’re almost there.

Until next week,

Anna Tutek
