Hi all,
As I sit down to plan out my schedule for the upcoming spring semester, I’m hit with a whirlwind of emotions—mainly excitement, with a bit of bittersweet realization mixed in. This is the last time I’ll be choosing my classes as an undergrad, making the whole process feel monumental. Registering for classes has always been a season of its own, with all its thrill, meticulous planning, and even a bit of stress. But this time around, everything feels a little more poignant as I begin to close one chapter of my academic journey.
Wrapping up my Majors
My final semester will complete my coursework in both education and psychology, and this feels like a huge milestone in itself. These two disciplines have shaped my entire college experience, given me a deeper understanding of people and society, and prepared me to go out and make a difference. I feel a strong sense of pride in completing these majors, and these final courses feel like the culmination of so much hard work and dedication. As I comb through the course browser, I’m excited to choose classes that not only fulfill the requirements but also bring together everything I’ve learned over the past few years.
Exploring New Topics for the Last Time
With two slots open for electives, I’m looking forward to diving into topics outside my majors. College is a rare opportunity to explore, sample, and learn for the sake of curiosity alone. There’s something freeing about knowing these will be my last courses, so I want to make sure they’re ones that intrigue and inspire me. I’m drawn to a few courses that I may not have been able to fit in before, and I’m excited to take these final opportunities to learn something totally new.
Reflecting on My Journey
Looking back at my past registrations, I see how much I’ve grown. My freshman-year self would be amazed at the courses I’ve tackled, the late nights of studying, and the countless lectures that have all built the foundation for my next steps. Choosing my spring classes is more than just a routine task—it’s a time for reflection on how far I’ve come.
Setting the Stage for What’s Next
Choosing these last classes also comes with the realization that, in a few short months, I’ll be on a new path, applying what I’ve learned toward business graduate programs and my career beyond college. This last semester feels like both an ending and a beginning, setting the stage for the next phase of my journey.
For now, though, I’m savoring the excitement of planning, choosing, and envisioning all that my final semester has in store. Here’s to making it count!
Until next week,
Anna Tutek
