Sweet Memories: Cheesecake Factory Chronicles

Greetings my lovely readers! I hope y’all have a good week so far 😊. Today I’m going to take y’all on a little rewind to the day when I went out to Cheesecake Factory during the summer as a little send-off for myself and my amazing friends who worked together in the Admission Office over the summer. When we found out our two amazing directors were taking us, we were so geeked…..I mean its Cheesecake Factory y’all!! Now I think for context, it’s probably key to add that I am a huge foodie 😋….and when I say huge guys I mean HUGE. Food truly is the way to my heart :). So it’s probably fair to say that the day before we were set to go out, I was already dreaming about the menu and the joy I was about to experience when I walked in….

Now, if you’ve ever been to Cheesecake Factory, you know the menu is less of a menu and more of a novel. The first time I went, I genuinely was so lost for the first like 20 minutes. To be honest y’all this time was no different….😂 All of us were flipping pages, debating entrées, going back and forth from dish to dish just trying to make a decision. Should we go for pasta? Burgers? Salads bigger than our heads? By the time we actually ordered, I felt so proud of us 🥹.

The Drinks Dilemma

We decided to get drinks, because nothing screams “goodbye summer” like sipping on something fruity in a giant glass. Everyone’s order was very on-brand: one friend went tropical (umbrella vibes), another leaned mysterious with something dark and broody, and I went with something that screamed FUN. One thing about me is when I’m at a restaurant, I always love picking the stuff that sounds really interesting and takes up like 4 lines on the menu (I told y’all I’m dramatic….). I forgot to take a picture of my drink but just imagine me as a person based on what y’all know so far and then picture that in drink form….( that’s probably a terrible analogy but I tried my best y’all 😄)

Mac & Cheese Balls: A Love Letter

We of course ordered the fried mac & cheese balls. If you know, you know. If you don’t know… I don’t know how to explain to you the sheer poetry of a crisp, golden exterior giving way to molten, cheesy perfection. Y’all have just got to experience yourself to understand what I’m saying. The table collectively gasped when they arrived. We were so excited! We also got a plate of these amazing ahi poke nachos, which were unreal….. When the food came we all went quiet lmao, and that’s how you know the food slapped!  Our appetizers were gone in approximately 45 seconds, and yes I will be thinking about them until the next time I go back (If I had my way…that would be next week 😉)

Several dishes, including mac & cheese balls sitting on a table.

The Mains
Eventually, food appeared. I ordered the spicy vodka pasta, and y’all when I tell you that pasta was hands down one of the best things I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant!  Another friend bravely tackled a lamb and mash inspired dish. Every bite was so delicious that it got to a point where I had to force myself to put the fork down because I was getting full, but I was enjoying the meal so much 😆.

Cheesecake Finale
Of course, we had to end with cheesecake. By that point, we were already full, but denying yourself cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory feels morally wrong. We each ordered a slice (I got the tiramisu cheesecake and it was unreal), we did the whole “pass your plate around” thing, and declared winners (though let’s be real, cheesecake always wins).

A Sweet Goodbye
By the time we rolled out of there, we’d laughed ourselves silly, debated menu items like philosophers, and eaten enough to fuel an admissions cycle. It was the perfect way to say goodbye to summer, my friends (I still see them everyday, but y’all get what I mean lol), and the very special bond that comes from spending three months working  together.

If summer was the appetizer, Cheesecake Factory was the dessert. And I don’t just mean literally.

Anyways, y’all, thanks so much for tagging along on this slightly chaotic, very delicious summer rewind 🫶. I can’t wait to share more behind-the-scenes adventures, foodie obsessions, and all the little moments that make this year so fun. With me, something wacky or random is always happening, so I can’t wait to fill y’all in on what that will be next time! See you soon, loveliesss!

With love,
Your favourite Brit x ♥️
