As the semester draws to a close, the energy on campus feels electric. Final papers are being written, group projects are coming together, and the library has become a second home for many. For me, this week is a mix of reflection, determination, and anticipation. It’s my last fall semester, and while that realization carries a touch of nostalgia, it also fills me with excitement for what’s ahead.
Preparing for the Lacrosse Season
Lacrosse season may still be months away, but the preparation starts now. Between weightlifting sessions and conditioning runs, I’m working to build both strength and stamina. Training during the off-season is about more than physical readiness; it’s about setting the tone for the spring. These workouts remind me of the commitment and teamwork that lacrosse fosters, qualities that have shaped my college experience in countless ways.
Over winter break, I plan to carry that momentum forward with focused training sessions. Whether it’s running in the crisp winter air or squeezing in stickwork drills, I want to enter the spring semester feeling ready to hit the field with confidence.
Embracing the Break as a Mental Reset
Winter break is the perfect opportunity to step back and recharge. After the whirlwind of finals, I’m looking forward to some much-needed downtime. Spending time with family, catching up with friends, and enjoying holiday traditions are just a few things on my agenda. It’s a chance to let go of the academic grind and refocus on personal goals.
As I prepare for my final semester, I want to enter it with a clear mind and a sense of purpose. This break will be my time to reflect on what I’ve achieved and what I still hope to accomplish. Whether it’s mapping out graduate school applications, setting fitness goals, or simply prioritizing mindfulness, I want to ensure I start strong.
Looking Ahead
The last week of the semester can feel like a sprint to the finish line, but it’s also a reminder of how far I’ve come. Balancing academics, athletics, and personal growth hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been worth every moment. With winter break on the horizon, I’m ready to embrace the pause, prepare for the next chapter, and savor the journey of my senior year. I can’t wait to see what the new year brings!
Until next year,
Anna Tutek
