Wellesley Life Updates

Hi everyone!

The Wellesley college campus is still covered in snow and has been ever since we came back to campus in January. I feel like the weather was not that bad the previous two winters I have experienced here, but this semester is definitely up to a cold start. The good news is that this means that I get to use my mittens, beanie, and scarf to the fullest.

Despite this weather, there have been some very fun events on campus. Last Friday, my friends and I went to the sports center (affectionately also known as the KSC) to join an event at the swimming pool. They had organized a watch-along of the movie Mamma Mia, while we were in the water. It was a really cool way to experience the movie and get into the summer vibes even though it was cold outside.

Another cool event I went to was the light show at our botanical gardens. The students had put lights throughout the gardens, highlighting different plants and their attributes. There were also quite a few lit-up structures made by artists.

For some personal updates, I have finally started doing my new puzzle. I feel like starting a new puzzle is always the hardest part of the process, so I am happy to report that I already have the frame. I guess that an underrated benefit of having a single room is that you have the floor space for such activities.

Over the weekend my friends and I also went to Singh’s Cafe in the Ville. That’s probably the best Indian restaurant that I have ever been to. They have all-you-can-eat buffet food during lunchtime, so that is definitely a great deal.

That’s it from me for the week. See you again next week!
