What Am I Up To This Semester 🤔

Happy February! This has been a long week because I had two problem sets due, so I am glad that the week is now winding down. Today, I am going to be sharing the courses I am taking this semester and what jobs/activities I am involved with.

This semester, I am taking four courses: firstly is an intermediate macroeconomics course. This is a core class required for my economics major and we meet twice a week. I enjoyed introductory macroeconomics, so I look forward to how this course goes.

Second is an economics elective class about globalization, also for my major. This class is great so far because I really like this professor’s lectures and the real world applications of what we are learning. We meet three times a week.

Third is a statistics elective class about multivariate data analysis for my statistics minor. We meet three times a week. The highlight of this course (at least in my opinion) is using R, a programming language for statistics and data science, for assignments.

Finally is a religion class about Christianity and the New Testament. I already finished my Religion, Ethics, and Moral Philosophy distribution requirement, so I do not need to take this course to fulfill that. But I personally find religious studies pretty interesting, so I am taking this class just for my own curiosity. We meet twice a week.

As for my jobs, I am excited to continue to work as a Blogger, Research Assistant, and Academic Success Coach (if you would like to know what these jobs entail, read my introduction post from last semester!)

As for my student organizations, I am still doing Art History Club and am returning as a DJ for WZLY. I took last semester off as a DJ, so I am super thrilled to return! WZLY is supposed to start broadcasting next week and I have already been preparing what songs I want to play during my show.

Thank you for reading this brief look into what kind of things Wellesley students are involved in inside and outside the classroom. I hope it was informative, and have a great week!
