Re: Campus Incident

Last night, at about 9pm, the Wellesley College Police Department received a bomb threat. The unknown caller stated that he placed bombs on campus, and mentioned Clapp Library.
The Wellesley Police Department and the Wellesley Fire Department joined the Wellesley College Police Department, and the library was immediately cleared and swept. Nothing unusual or suspicious was observed inside the building.
Some area schools have received similar threats in recent years, and we have informed the proper authorities in Massachusetts State Police of this incident.
The safety of our community is our paramount priority. This morning, we are confident that community members can safely return to campus.
