Subject: A Reminder About Convocation Today

I look forward to seeing many students, faculty, and staff later this afternoon for Convocation, which marks the start of our academic year. As a reminder, Convocation will begin with a festive reception on the Academic Quad at 3:45 p.m., followed by our procession to the Hay Outdoor Theater promptly at 4:15 p.m. (line up begins at 4:05 p.m.).
Given today’s expected heat and humidity, we will have water stations set up nearby: in the Campus Center patio area near the fire pit; at the lower level of Alumnae Hall; and at the Davis Museum Plaza. Those who are planning to attend Convocation should bring water bottles that can be refilled at those locations.
