Re: Community Forum on Sustainability Guiding Principles
Date: March 30, 2018

One of the major goals of Sustainability Year is to develop guiding principles unique to Wellesley that will inform our sustainability efforts and priorities. The Sustainability Committee has drafted a set of these principles based on the sustainability community survey results from last fall, as well as the College’s mission, and similar initiatives from other institutions. This draft provides a framework to help our campus community become more environmentally responsible and will ultimately inform the 2016–2026 Strategic Sustainability Plan, which provides detailed action items for improving the College’s sustainability performance.

Please join us on Tuesday, April 3, at 4:30 p.m. in the Clapp Library Lecture Room for a campus-wide community forum to contribute your input towards shaping these foundational guidelines and to share your thoughts on what sustainability means for Wellesley. Hosted by the Albright Institute, the Paulson Ecology of Place Initiative, and the Advisory Committee on Environmental Sustainability, this important forum will help to create a shared vision of what sustainability should look like for the College now and in the future.

If you are interested, please RSVP if possible, but it is not required in order to attend.
