Re: New Required Training for Faculty and Staff Traveling with Students
Date: April 12, 2018

This spring, we are introducing a new training program to ensure that all faculty and staff who travel off-campus with students are well-prepared to take on this responsibility. Any faculty or staff member planning to travel with students on trips lasting multiple days is required to attend an in-person information session that will cover topics such as responding to emergencies, safety, insurance, managing funds, and risk management. The dates for this semester’s sessions are below; please register for the session you plan to attend.

Wednesday, April 25, 9 – 11 a.m.
Friday, May 11, 3:15 – 5:15 p.m.
Monday, May 14th, 1 – 3 p.m.

All sessions will take place in Collins Cinema. For those who are on leave or otherwise away from campus this semester, there will be future opportunities to complete this requirement upon your return. Please let us know if you have any questions.

We appreciate your participation in this effort to improve our support of student travel.
