Dear Wellesley community,
It is with a heavy heart that I invite you all to come together to honor Sama Mundlay ’20, who tragically lost her life last week in Amsterdam, where she was to begin a study abroad program.
We will be holding a memorial for Sama on Friday, September 7, at 4:30 p.m. in the Hay Outdoor Theater. Sama’s friends have asked that those attending wear white—as is the tradition in her home country of India—or bright colors to represent how vibrant she made everyone around her feel.
We invite you to share memories, stories, reflections, and thoughts, both in person at the memorial and via inmemoriam@wellesley.edu. These memories will be compiled into a book for the Mundlays, to share with them the Wellesley family’s love for Sama.
Sama touched so many lives during her time here at Wellesley. I hope to see you on Friday as we honor her memory.
