Re: Convocation Update: Hot Weather Plan

Due to the extreme temperature and high humidity anticipated for this afternoon, Convocation will be held indoors in Alumnae Hall Auditorium. I hope you will join your classmates, colleagues, and peers to celebrate the beginning of our academic year and to welcome the community back to Wellesley.
To work around the heat, especially for faculty, staff, and seniors in their academic gowns, the festive reception will begin at 3:45 p.m. at the Campus Center in Tishman Commons and on the Campus Center Event Lawn. You may wish to bring a full water bottle with you.
All underclass students are invited and, if possible, should wear their class colors.
We will begin lining up for the procession at 4:05 p.m. Faculty and staff will line up in Punch’s Alley in a double line with the head of the line at the door to the pub heading out to the lawn, and seniors will form a double line down the hall of the Campus Center with the head of the line also at the door heading out to the lawn. The procession to the Alumnae Hall Auditorium will depart promptly at 4:15 p.m., led by Yanvalou.
Step Singing will take place in Alumnae Hall Auditorium immediately following the convocation ceremony.
