Re: Self Study for Community Feedback
Date: November 14, 2018

The Accreditation Steering Committee is pleased to invite you to review and comment on the College’s confidential draft of its self-study narrative. The narrative and related E-Series forms prepared by academic departments and programs are now available on MyWellesley in the Administrivia tab under the For Everyone heading.

The information required in the self-study is proscribed by the New England Commission on Higher Education and is specified in the Standards for Accreditation. The nine standards cover all aspects of our academic and co-curricular program, grounded in our mission, and include consideration of our finances, our buildings, and our community. Your feedback is helpful to ensure that we have focused on the most important topics, that what you read rings true to you, and that we provide our visiting team with the appropriate level of candor.

To learn more about this process, how you can help, and the next steps for Wellesley, please watch this video, which provides additional information. If you are ready to start reading now, please log in to MyWellesley and review the documents. In addition, two copies of the self-study narrative will be available to check out at the Clapp Service Desk for reading within the library.

The visiting team will be at Wellesley March 10 to 13, 2019. During that time, the team members will meet with various campus stakeholders, and all faculty, staff, and students will be invited to open sessions with them.

Please send your feedback to accreditationquestions@wellesley.edu by Friday, November 30, at 4:30 pm. We ask that you state the standard, section, and page number you are referring to in your response. Thank you for helping to shape Wellesley for the next 10 years.
