Re: Correction to Yesterday’s Ombuds Announcement

I am writing to clarify yesterday’s College Announcement about our new Ombudsperson and the expanded services of Wellesley’s Ombuds Office.
The College intends for its Ombuds Office to be a confidential resource, including for cases of sexual harassment—including sexual assault. The Ombuds Office will not identify any visitor or discuss the concerns that a visitor raises with anyone without the visitor’s permission except when the Ombudsperson determines that there is an imminent risk of serious harm.
