Re: Changes to the Course Schedule, Effective Fall 2019
Date: March 21, 2019

This fall, Wellesley will implement a new course schedule—our first significant schedule update in 20 years—to better serve the needs of today’s students and faculty. The course browser will be open starting Friday, March 22.

Though the course schedule is changing, the class registration process will remain the same. Fall registration takes place the week of April 15.

The new schedule is the result of a highly collaborative, four-year, faculty-led effort that focused on the goals of reducing the current compression of courses and the overlap on the Wednesday “swing day,” expanding course options for students, easing congestion in dining facilities in the middle of the day, and achieving compliance with federal guidelines regarding credit hours.

visual layout of the course schedule and an FAQ describe the coming adjustments in greater detail, and we will share more resources in the coming weeks. We are exploring ways in which the lunchtime dining options can support the new schedule.

We appreciate your patience as we implement this change.
