Re: Join Us Today for Virtual Convocation
Date: September 2, 2020

Wellesley’s first virtual Convocation will take place today at 2:45 p.m. EDT. I hope you will join us—your classmates, colleagues, and peers—and watch the live broadcast on our WellesleyLIVE web page. Due to the weather forecast, the live remarks from President Johnson, and others, will move indoors to the Diana Chapman Walsh Alumnae Hall auditorium. Neither threat of rain nor the COVID-19 pandemic will prevent the Wellesley community from coming together virtually to mark this annual event and celebrate the beginning of the academic year.

Though we are not able to have an audience in person, we hope that everyone will tune in and join the celebration on social media using #WellesleyConvocation. All students, wherever you are in the world, are asked to wear your class colors if possible.

The livestream will begin promptly at 2:45 p.m. EDT and is expected to last about 30 minutes. It will be live captioned. I look forward to joining you virtually for this special occasion.
