Re: Test of Emergency Notification System—Please Verify Your Information
Date: November 10, 2020
Ensuring the accuracy of our directory and personal contact information is important, as the College relies on these in emergency situations and to support the facilities work order system. We ask that faculty, staff, and students review and update their contact information in Workday by 8 a.m. tomorrow, November 11, 2020.
Faculty and Staff
Faculty and staff can review and update their campus addresses and phone extensions as well as their cell phone information using the Step by Step instructions.
Students
Students can update their information in Workday in the Student Profile. In MyWellesley, go to the Student Self-Service tab > Workday for Students for instructions.
If an emergency is reported and confirmed, system administrators will create and send an emergency notification to the Wellesley College community via voice, email, and text messages.
System Test
On Wednesday, November 11, between 10 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., Wellesley College will conduct a campus-wide test of our mass-notification messaging system. Those faculty and staff members who have included a landline under Home Contact Information as a phone number in Workday should make sure members of your household are aware that this call will come between 10 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. tomorrow.
Wellesley College will only use this system in cases of emergency. It will not be used to send spam or irrelevant messages.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
