I am so pleased to share the news that the College’s Landscaping Master Plan was awarded the top prize of Jury’s Choice Award For Outstanding Achievement in Integrated Planning and Design, by the Society for College and University Planning, in the category of Excellence in Landscape Architecture for Open Space Planning. The College’s master plan vision was created by Michael Van Valkenburgh and Associates in 1998, and has been steadily implemented over the past two decades.
This award is a testament to the College’s visionary leadership in the 1990s and to our outstanding landscaping team, led by John Olmsted, whose efforts touch every corner of the stunning campus that we love so much. Under the challenging circumstances of the past year, they have worked tirelessly to care for the College and its landscape, and I am delighted they have been recognized for their excellent work, and grateful for their many contributions to the College.
