March 24, 2022

Dear Students,

I hope you had a relaxing, restful break.

As we prepare to welcome many of you back to campus in a few days, we write to remind you of a few important Covid safety related details.  Please take a moment to read this message in its entirety and be sure to refer back to the College’s communication on Covid related health and safety protocols.

Testing on campus
All students who left campus over the Spring Break must receive one College-offered negative PCR test prior to attending in-person classes, and should in-room restrict until receiving a negative result. Individual PCR tests will be offered for students at the College Club with expanded testing hours on Saturday, March 26 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and on Sunday, March 27 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.  Rapid tests will not be provided, and individual PCR results will be returned sometime the following day. Please take this requirement into consideration in planning your arrival day and time.  PCR tests will not be available at Beebe. Students who have tested positive for Covid within the last 90 days and who are exempt from testing should not test.

Tested positive while away over the break?
If you tested positive while away on break, you must report it to the College toolbox and follow the CDC guidelines. Based on CDC guidelines, students who receive a positive result should not return to campus until they have completed their 5 day isolation, and should not travel by air or public transportation for a full 10 days from the day the test was taken.

Stayed on campus over break?
Students who have remained in college housing on campus over the break should take an individual PCR on Friday, March 26 or Saturday, March 27 to confirm a negative result before attending in-person classes, but do not need to in-room restrict.

Campus PCR results came back positive?
Be prepared to move to the hotel.  Shuttle service will be provided to and from the hotel.  Be sure to keep your phone on you. Pack for a 5-day stay, including any medications that you may need.  You will receive a message from Campuskey. Please read it carefully and be sure to immediately complete the transportation form.  Only students who are currently living in an approved medical single will be in a single room at the hotel.  All other students should expect to have a roommate.  Outside of using the bathroom and picking up a to-go meal, positive students must in-room restrict until you meet the shuttle at the designated location.

Feeling ill or concerned about your health?
Please call Health Services as early in the day as possible for a consult and do not go to classes, or gather with others until you do.  Mask up and keep a safe distance. You will not  be moved to the hotel after hours if you take your own home rapid test. Instead, you should contact Health Services as early in the day as possible so that the result can be confirmed, and you can be moved to isolation, if needed.

Dining
In anticipation of Spring Break return, starting Saturday, March 26, all dining locations will be open for service with a limited menu. The entree and salad stations will be open in all four culinary centers. To go containers will be available in all locations for those students completing their In Room Restriction period prior to receiving a negative test result.

We hope that this message offers clarity and as always, reach out to contacttracing@wellesley.edu for any questions or concerns.

I look forward to seeing you around campus soon. Spring is on its way!
