Re: Health and safety guidance following spring break
Date: March 25, 2022
As faculty and students prepare to come back from spring break, we wanted to provide a brief update on testing and masking guidance.
Faculty and staff returning from spring break who have traveled out of the local area are not required to have a negative PCR test before coming to campus. Instead, they should plan to test on day one and four of their return to campus. All testing for faculty and staff will be done at Beebe next week (3/27-4/1). The College Club will be reserved for students who will be receiving individual PCR tests as they return from spring break, and for any faculty or staff with mobility issues. Faculty and staff who have not traveled only need to test once next week.
Faculty and staff should continue to wear masks in classrooms and academic and administrative buildings as previously directed. Food is not permitted at indoor events attended by more than 10 faculty/staff members.
We plan to re-examine our health and safety guidance in early April, based on the case numbers we see following spring break in our community and local infection rates.
