Dear Students,
When I sat in the College Government meeting this past Monday I heard about many social events that are happening on campus this weekend. I am so pleased to know that Wellesley students are finding balance prior to the focus you will soon need to give to prepare for final exams. I want to remind you that Covid-19 continues to be present on our campus and beyond, so your safety must continue to be a priority, stay safe through finals and your travels home. According to our records, there are currently 8 students in isolation on campus.
Here are a few updates:
The lake gates will be open this weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 4pm. Take this time for a study break and a moment of reflection. Be mindful of the weather and the time, and be sure to exit the path before it gets dark. You may also see the Boston Wellesley Club alums on the path with you.
I shared the Take A Break Calendar of events last week, but it is worth sharing again. It was created to encourage students to tune into their self-care around finals. We know that taking time to relax, refresh and rejuvenate enhances focus, productivity, and overall academic performance and well-being. The wide array of programs is open and free to all students. Dean Montagna and I look forward to seeing you there.
This time of year there are many phishing attempts at Wellesley and at other places. LTS (Library Technology Services) has asked us to remind you to take the Cybersecurity Awareness Training as soon as possible. It is approximately 25 minutes long and can be completed in multiple viewings. Please search for the email from sans@wellesley.edu and take the training by December 31st.
Best wishes for a fun and productive weekend and enjoy your LDOC (last day of classes!)
