Re: Updates to COVID-19 Protocols
Date: August 31, 2023

As we prepare to welcome everyone back to campus, I want to share an update to our COVID-19 guidance.

This year, masks are welcome but not required in any spaces on campus, including classrooms and health and counseling services.

As a reminder, the College is no longer offering asymptomatic testing. Students who are symptomatic should mask and go to Health Services for testing as soon as possible. Rapid tests will soon be available for sale in the bookstore, and masks will be available in limited quantities in the bookstore and in residence halls. Please note that neither Harvard Pilgrim nor the Student Health Insurance Plan reimburse for the cost of rapid tests, but both continue to cover testing in a doctor’s office or Health Services for students.

Students, faculty and staff who test positive should follow existing protocols for isolating and masking for 10 days.

COVID-19 is still with us, and we must continue to be vigilant. Vaccination for COVID-19 continues to be a foundation of our health and safety program. All students are required to be up-to-date on their bivalent boosters. We encourage everyone to get the updated booster when it becomes available later this fall.

We no longer require visitors to register online and attest to vaccination before coming to campus.

Please refer to Keeping Wellesley Healthy for any questions.

Wishing everyone a healthy new academic year at Wellesley.
