Re: Commencement Exercises

We are pleased to announce that the 2024 Commencement Exercises will take place under the tent on Severance Green tomorrow, Friday, May 17, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
We will continue to watch the weather closely, and if there is a change from the current fair weather plan, we will send further details tomorrow (Friday) morning.
With fair weather anticipated, faculty will line up on Jewett Road, outside of Founders Hall, and students will line up on the Academic Quad. In case of rain, students will line up on the second floor of Founders Hall, with the head of the line at the History Department, and faculty will line up on the first floor of Green Hall, with the head of the line at the stairs opposite Human Resources. Faculty are asked to please be in line—whether outdoors or indoors—by 10 a.m.
In the interest of making Commencement more sustainable, we are asking Wellesley faculty, staff, and students to download the digital Commencement program in advance (as it may be difficult to do so under the tent with so many connecting to the network). Print programs will still be available for families and friends. We also recommend bringing your own water bottle.
We look forward to welcoming our graduates’ families and friends to campus and congratulating the red class of 2024.
