We are pleased to welcome and congratulate all of the new faculty and staff who have joined the College in positions across campus as well as a few staff members who have taken on expanded responsibilities. Below, get to know some of these Wellesley staff members with roles that extend across many areas of the College.
Kristine Din joins us as the new director of the Office of Student Involvement. She most recently served as director of intercultural affairs at Stonehill College. Kristine has a background in residence life and extensive experience in student affairs.
Kenneth Ferguson joins us as deputy chief in the Office of Public Safety. Ken comes to us from Brandeis University and has previously served as deputy chief and chief of police in Framingham, Mass. Ken Walsh, our current chief, will be leaving us at the end of the month.
Susan Fletcher has joined Wellesley as director of the Office of Risk Management and Compliance. Over the past 10 years Susan served as director of enterprise risk management for The Boston Consortium for Higher Education, where she was a resource for Wellesley and many other colleges and universities. Prior to this role, she was the business operations and insurance manager at Tufts Medical Center for 11 years.

Lisa was most recently the interim director of counseling services at Smith College and has over 20 years experience as a psychiatrist and in college mental health.
Liz Lieberman will be serving as our ombudsperson this fall while Kathryn Bender is on personal leave. Liz is a former ombudsperson and an emerita member of the Wellesley faculty. She can help faculty and staff address interpersonal challenges, systemic problems, difficult conversations, and other related issues.
