Dear Students,

Can you believe it’s October already? Enjoy this week as autumn weather is arriving soon! As you begin your fall break, here are a few important updates:

Covid Vaccination clinic
On Friday, October 27, there will be a Covid vaccination clinic for students from 2-6pm at Tishman hall. The College is not requiring you to get vaccinated, however we do advise that you take advantage of this opportunity. Please use this link to sign up. https://home.color.com/vaccine/register/cataldo?site=wellesley-wellesley-college

Introducing a 24/7 Package Pick-up Option – We heard you!  Picking up a package should be quick and easy, preferably without having to wait in line.  So, we’re piloting a new program that gives you the option to ship your Amazon orders to a locker that’s available 24/7.  When you choose locker delivery, you’ll receive an email from Amazon when your package arrives.  You’ll be able to pick it up anytime, day or night, up to 3 days after delivery.  Because we have a limited number of lockers during this pilot, we encourage you to pick up your package as soon as possible so other students can take advantage of this option.  “Amazon Locker – Vasco” is located on the outside lower level of the Wang Campus Center.  Questions?  lockerpilot@wellesley.edu

We are starting our “Dinner with the Deans” program where students can join me and another dean for dinner. The first one is scheduled to be focused on our first gen students. First Gen Dean’s Dinner sign up – Thursday, November 9th with me and Dean Dawn Montagna.

October is ADHD Awareness, Breast Cancer Awareness, LGBTQ+ History month and of course, Halloween is around the corner. This past week highlighted the importance of mental health, with Mental Illness Awareness Week,  National Depression Screening Day today, and World Mental Health Day this coming Tuesday 10/10, all of which are great reminders that taking care of our mental health is a vital part of our overall well being. To learn more, check out the free, anonymous 5 minute mental health screening available to Wellesley College students. It is provided so that you can learn, in a private and confidential manner, whether professional support would be helpful to you.

As we approach fall break, we hope you take time for yourself over the next few days to unwind and care for your wellbeing. Looking for where to begin? The Office of Student Wellness has highlighted a number of wellness-related programs available throughout this month.

Don’t miss these upcoming campus events:
OSI will be hosting ticket sales on WEngage Tuesday night for the Salem, MA trip on Sunday October 15
OSI will be hosting a Paint Night in Punch’s Alley Thursday, October 12 in Punch’s Alley from 7-9pm
SBOG will be hosting the Fall Concert on the Schneider Tennis Courts on Saturday, October 14, doors open at 3pm

Enjoy your fall break! For those going home, this is the time to swap out summer clothes and bring back warmer clothes. I hope you get some time to rejuvenate and enjoy the time off.
