After graduating in May 2014, Kathryn Christman ’14 drove across country and moved to beautiful San Luis Obispo, CA. After a few months of doing freelance web design and development, she started work as a front end developer at a consultancy. Except it wasn’t totally the life she imagined for herself after Wellesley. In the months after graduating, she discovered more about myself than she did all four years at Wellesley. Kathryn discovered that she has a passion for baking, and designed a blog and brand for herself. She also discovered that she couldn’t quite stop thinking about her HCI class at Wellesley, or her Social Design class at MIT, and began carving a career in User Experience (UX). Kathryn is now working as a UX Design Apprentice at an amazing company called MINDBODY and her days are filled with innovation and ideation. She doesn’t know where she’ll go from here, but Wellesley has given her the confidence and skills to choose anything.
