Monday, November 17 –

  • CWS Quick Fix Grant Deadline | NOON | MyCWS – Quick Fix Grants are small grants of up to $300 for individuals and up to $600 for groups to cover short-term service projects that could not be anticipated far enough in advance to request SOFC funding.   • Carney, Sandoe & Associates Info Session 7:00-8:30 PM | PNE 130 – Carney, Sandoe & Associates is an educational recruitment firm that places teachers and administrators in private, independent and like-kind (charter, magnet, pilot and merit) schools across the nation and worldwide. We have placed over 27,000 teachers and administrators in independent schools since 1977. CS&A has thousands of teaching positions available in all primary and secondary subjects each year. Candidates will need at least a BA/BS in the subject area they will be teaching, although minors or concentrations can be acceptable for the following areas:  chemistry, physics, mathematics, and Spanish.  Experience working with children between the ages of 5-18 is preferred.  The ability to coach or direct extracurricular activities is very helpful. Tuesday, November 18 –

  • Marketing Your International Experience | 4:15-5:30 PM | CWS library (GRH 442) – Have you just returned from studying abroad?  Learn how to effectively market your experience to employers and position yourself for career success. This workshop is for students who have studied abroad and want to learn how to incorporate their experience into their job search through their cover letter, resume, and responses to interview questions. RSVP is required. Limited to 20 participants. Prior registration required.
  • International Relations Alumnae Panel | 6:00-8:00 PM | PNE 139 – IR Alumnae panel: bringing back to campus three different Wellesley alumnae who majored in International Relations with a concentration in one of the three branches of the program—Economics, Political Science or History. The alumnae will speak about how their experiences at Wellesley and how their IR degree have shaped their career path, job opportunities and professional successes. The panel will feature alumni from diverse professional backgrounds, representing organizations such as the David Rockefeller Center, The Asia Group, and McKinsey Consulting. Thursday, November 20 –

  • UCLA Anderson EDGE | 12:30-1:30 PM | PNE 251 – The UCLA Anderson EDGE program is a three-week program for rising juniors, seniors and recent college graduates who want to experience a rigorous business boot camp that will prepare them for life after college. The program teaches the fundamentals of business and focuses on three key lenses: Business Literacy, Leadership and Communication. Meet Rachel Linares, the Associate Director of Open Enrollment at the UCLA Anderson Executive Education department, and hear more about this program.   • Northeastern University D’Amore-McKim School of Business (RESCHEDULED) | 4:30-5:30 PM | Lulu Wang Center, Room 210 – Interested in a Career in Accounting & Business? Didn’t Study Accounting? Learn More! Accounting is the foundation of business and continues to be a profession that maintains stability even during the worst economic periods. The Big 4 and many national accounting firms are listed among Business Week’s Best Places to Launch a Professional Career and Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For. Services provided include audit, assurance, tax, and consulting. A representative from the D’Amore-McKim Graduate School of Accounting will be on campus on October 20th to discuss educational and employment opportunities in public accounting.  Northeastern University offers an MS in Accounting/MBA program specifically designed for non-accounting majors interested in launching a career in accounting.
