This is what a wrote during the class on sugar and water dissolving into one another:
Sugar had its own way of going about life. She had everything organized, down to having the last grain perfected in her cubical form. But then, sugar met Water, its H2O nemesis. At first, sugar and water wanted nothing to do with one another. They were their own separate elements from their own different walks of life. While sugar had everything organized down to the last spec of detail, water on a more ‘free flowing’ lifestyle. He swayed and swooshed, showing off his moves without a care in the world. Sugar swore she would never dissolve into his antics. Yet it wasn’t long before sugar realized that there was true meaning in the phrase, “polar-opposites attract.” Despite their different bickering and different lifestyles, sugar could not help but feel attracted to water, and water felt the same way in return. One day, sugar’s human friend, Stacey, forced sugar out of her comfort zone and thew her together with water. With a little stirring from Stacie, the two elements came closer and closer together, their opposite charges attracting them to one another. Finally, sugar gave way to her inner sensations. As she gave up her uptight cubical ways, sugar dissapated into waters arms, combining together into one completely new element.
EDIT: Here is my poetry on prions. I wrote 2 haikus based on Alzheimer’s disease.
1.
Life-altering prion
Grandfather no longer knows
Who I am, where to go
2.
Alzheimer’s
Prions altered in its flight
Extinguishing light
