Cambridge Science Festival

Presenting our cumulative work at the Cambridge Science Festival was a really awesome experience. I had been worried that no one would show up because of the poor weather but since we were moved inside there was no shortage of people to talk to. I was really pleased by how receptive people seemed to be to what we were saying. I was worried people would be bored or just not understand any of our presentation, but both children and adults listened intently to the things I had to share about Serotonin.

Being in that kind of situation where people can ask any questions was challenging at times but it proved to be a good exercise in my public speaking. I was definitely surprised by how creative some of the questions I was asked were. With every question asked I could feel myself becoming more solidly proficient in whatever I was saying.

Seeing the rest of our class’s work was exciting as well, everyone did a really great job and I wish I had had more time to listen to their findings and presentations!
